school is almost over

school is almost over well at least this semester, i have set up a job for the break and i am planning on working the whole time. I have been looking forward to this break since the semester started even though it did come kind of fast. it's been a good semester for me i think i am doing desecent in all my class i think and hopefully i pass all of them with a B and up. except for english that class was so hard that i will settle for a C , i know that sounds bad. i have been doing so much this semester with everything from school work to just being active in school programs i am just hoping that it come back in my benefit wish me luck on the portfolio as a matter of fact i don't need luck, i need JESUS.

if i fail my portfolio

If i fail my portfolio i am not going to lie, i am going to be tight because i been through so much stuff with english this semester that i don't think nobody deseve to take that class twice. It's good for you yeah, but the way the class is designed it's almost like you have yor back against the wall. Not only that, but if i don't pass for some reason that will set everything back for me.
I plan on graduating next fall, but if i fail menglish i am not taking it next semester so that means i am going to be taking that class plus an advanced writing class, and that is to much for anybody to handle. Don't get me wrong eveybody sould learn how to write the proper way if they don't know how, but english in cortland is extreme measures. it's class that is designed this way that keep students here longer then they suppose to be, but regardless of what happen i did come out learning more then what i did know when i came in. It was a good experience on real college work and i hope i don't have to go through it again with english 101. Thanks to mr. T.Emerson for a good semester see you around some day.

Its Been A while

I know it been a while since i really said something on my blog my bad i have been leaving yall out on things, it's just that i have been so busy with work that i had no time to do anything else but the most important assignments. Although this english is a big part of the reason i have been busy i feel that all this hard work has got to pay off. It's been a while since i had real time for myself, even though we just had a break from school for thanksgiving i still was running around doing things for other people. It's O.K though, because i feel that i will get all the rest i need when i get that diploma. The i will start back up working hard when i start my career in sports. I have loved basketball since i was young and it would be great if i can countinue to be around it as my job in life. Although its been a while since i played the sports i still have a few moves and it will always be fun to me. It just seems to me that i not even going to school for the diploma, i am going to school for two reasons one is an internship, and the other is to get the experience. I have never been in a real professional event to see how it works, and it been a while since a seen a semi professional event ran. I love the sports world and i hope that i will never say, its been a while since i do something with sports.

Good Food

I can speak for almost everyone i say i ate good on thanksgiving. For the past couple of years thanksgiving was one of those hollidays that was bigger then X-mas. People look forward to eating good food, being around friends and family, telling jokes, and just have fun rather then getting giving gifts. When i own my first house and i have a family, on my first thanks giving i am going to have every type of food you can name. After my first thanksgiving i am going to be like that at my house every sunday. I think it's bad that family get together like that only one time a year and have fun around good food, it should be more often. I understand that people have things to do and people go to work, but regardless of what happens during the week or who is going to be there when i get my first house i am having thanksgiving every sunday. Being in away in school made me realize how much i love home cooked meals and being able to just get good food from the frig. when you live in the dorms you can't do that, you can do it a little off campus but it still isn't the same as being at you own home. Some people take good food for granted and don't know what they are missing until it's gone. That is the reason i have to eat my own cooking sometimes and leave this campus food alone.I can almost beleive that everybody loves good food so make thanksgiving a year round holiday in you house.

what am i going to do?

This weekend i was suppose tp either do one or two things on friday i either was going to go with my roommate and some friends from back home and take a trip out to syracuse for the weekend and come back on sunday. Then again i could stay here because i payed money to go to see a movie on saturday with the school. We was going to a movie theater out in ithica,but now my girlfriend told me yesterday that she is staying here this weekend. That didn't completely stop me from doing anything because she told me i could whatever i had planned, but i know her and she is just like any other female that say one thing and mean another. So i didn't go with my roomate to syracuse, but i still was going to go with the school to the Movies on saturday. Tell me how my girl gets a phone call from her agent (she is a model) telling her that she has to go to a photo shoot on sundayat 2:00 o'clock. Since it is so late in the day my girl is going to be finishing up around 5:oo something because i know they are not going to start on time, and she doesn't want to drive back so late by herself so she wants me to go to the city with her on saturday and chill so i can help her drive back on sunday. I kind of wanted to stay up here, because i also have basketball practice on sunday as well so i am missing that and the movie so what am i going to do?. Well, i know what i am going to do i am going to go with her to the city for 2 reasosn 1 i don't want nothing to happen to her driving back that late and 2 if i don't regardless of what she say i will never hear the end of it.

Madden 08

That is probably my favorite game for this year, and it is so much better then last years version. It has so much moves that players can do and i like it for the fact that they have special things for different players to do. I like it that the quarter back can't just throw anything he has to be set just like how it os in real life, and it is hard to throw the football on the run. the graphics in the game is so good that the players almost look real and the tackles in the game look good as well. their are certain players in the game that are just almost unstoppable in the game just like their are in real life you have players that catch everything and hardly ever drop a past, then you have certain players that are very fast, you have some mean't for blocking, and you also have different types of quarter backs. Their are some good ones with good aim, and some with very fast speed, then you have others that are smart quarter backs that make good decisions. It is a lot about that game that i like from playing the game to looking at it, and all about the insides of the game like playing the season making your own character, and training by playing in the mini camp. It is a very good game and i think that next year will be better because it get's better every year.

My grades

it might sound stupid that i am talking about my grades and i didn't even look at them yet, but i thought that they was worth talking about. compared to last semester i think that i am doing better in everything as far as doing things outside of school and still keeping up with my work. Althought last semester i never did hand anything in late and i was always doing alright but i feel that my final grades this semester will be better then last. the only think is that i feel my classes this semester is harder then last semester or maybe i feel that way because now i am taking english and it is very hard and it's a lot of writing even if you try not to do things you still going to be writing. On top of that i have other classes that is not a walk in the park and they i have there share of work as well. This school expects a lot from their students and that is why they are on of the best in new york and in other cities. We have a great sports management program and i am trying to get my career started working in the N.B.A, but i can't even get an internship if my grades are not good and that is why my grades have to be good or i will have to leave this school.

playing Ball

this week other then doing my school work of coures i was mainly play basketball. Compared to last semester my basketball skills have been better and i am doing a lot of things that i wasn't doing before. I am taking it to the basket more, i don't really know if my jump shot got better but my all around game is good. Everybody that i hang out with are all playing basketball more now and days. This is my favorite sport and my major is sports management, i want to be able to do something with basketball my whole life. i am currently trying to get invovled in the N.B.A through cortland sports management program on an internship, so far it's going good but i need my grades to get better take a few more classes and i should be there soon. Basketball is a great sport and in my eye one of the best in the world. There are more people starting out younger then ever now playing basketball , and they are very big and tall. as time passes baketball is getting better and better in skill s. I am not saying this is a easy sport because it is hard but if someon never played basketball before chances are they are goin g to blike the sport

Fashion Tips

I am not going to lie just like everybody else i like to come out the house fresh (looking nice) always, but you always have people with that i don't care mentallity. they come out wearing all kinds of colors that just look stupid wearing fake sneakers( usually Jordans) and think they doing something. It really doesn't matter to me as long as you stay humble and just chill, but you have some that just think they so ill and they talk about all this money, and $ 500 sneakers, $800 jeans and just liying, that gets me tight. Fashion tip number 1 don't come out with a brand new outfit (new shirt, new jeans ) and messed up sneakers that throws everything off. Fashion tip number 2 just because you wear a color but five different shades that doesn't always match and you have to be real with yourself when you throw that on ask your self how will i look in this. Fashion tip number 3 if you have a white tee and it as dirty brown rings around the neck throw it away. Fashion tip number 4 if your fitted is so old that it forms to your head when you put it on throw that away as well or don't ever wear it again.there are a lot of people to me that be breaking a lot of fashion laws and i look at them like there crazy in what there doing it is not hard. Some people think that they have to spend all kind of crazy amounts of money to look nice and that is not the case at all. you can look good with a regular t-shirt nice jeans and some descent sneakers just don't come outside looking like you got dressed in the dark.

This semester

I am going home this weekend because it was a long time since i laid in my own bed and seen my friends from my home townit is crazy sometimes with certain things that come with going homw that there are times that i wish i didn't even have my car. Today i had to take a little test for my class and i didn't do to good but that means i have a lot of studying to do for it. This is around the time in the semester where a lot of work is going to start coming down all at once. last semester around this time i fell apart and didn't do as good as i thought i would have. my classes this time is not that much harder then last time but there are some classes that i feel are to much to handle with other classws as well. To stay together in school i be playing ball, football, cracking jokes, and just chillin if i don't do that or non of those things i think i would go crazy with all this work i be doing ther is to much studying envolved with going to this school. I had fun my first semester and i am doing a lot more activities this semester but i wish i had my school work amount from last semester. i am going to be alright when this is over because i already know i am not the only one that need a break from school and everything else around it

what's next

this past weekend me and a good number of people from cortland went out to bing to a party that they have every year for a bunch of soroities and frats. It was fun and it ended about 3:00 in the morning a lot of people was dancing and they was playing music that everybody can dance to. It was a wide variety of music being played and even though i don't mess with every type of music i was dancing to everything. when it was over me and and everybody i went their with went to get some Mcdonalds to eat then we was just chillin on the 8th floor of clark cracking jokes mad loud. On friday their was another party host by lambda a latin frat. It wasn't all that but we made the best of it and it ended up being better then we thought, when it was over we also went to the after party which was a mistake because the police was outside of just waiting to break it up their was a time when we was just standing their being mad quit doing nothing so that's when i decided that it was time to leave. Then when we got back to the dorms it was around 4:00 in the morining then none of us was tired so we decided to play some uno we played that for a good amount of time after that was over it was around 5:30 and that is when i finally went to sleep.

my athletic life

So far this semester i have been more athletic then last semester. I am involved in flag football and club basketball i am running like crazy lifting weights and doing a lot of things to stay in shape. Today i lost my flag football game by three points and i am not going to lie today i felt like quiting but i didn't i stuck it out to the end. We are a good team we just need to play together more and we should do good. As far as club basketball go i don't know if i made to team yet the first tryouts is after the first cut of the varsity team basketball. So far everything is going good with the team i never do terrible i do alright and i hold my own with the players. If i do make the team the first game is at ithica on november 1 2007 so we are going to need a lot of practice. the coach is real cool and down to earth but i don't know about the assistant coach to much he is not at any practices and i don't like the fact that he playes a big part in picking the players but he not their to watch us play. He also is the type of coach to pick people because he knows them and i don't like it when people favor others, but it's o.k i just have to do better then them. With football we have no coach and that is why we are all over the place when we play, but i am just playing it to have fun although i hate to lose.

what am I going to do ?

I have I 3-5 page paper do on thursday that i found out today that i was doing wrong so i now have to do that over. I have a written assignment do for english tommorrow thta i am doing now and i also have a quiz in my 8:30 class tommorrow as well that i just found out about. I have all these things do around the same time and it's not a little bit of work it is a lot of writting and studying time that need to be put in place. I am trying to bring my grades way up from last semester and with a this work that's due at the same time is making it very hard for my to accomplish that goal i just got one question what am i going to do?. With all the reading, the school work, basketball practice, football games, and studying i feel that the only day i really have to myself is saturday. That is only if i don't have some crazy assignment do by monday. This has been one of my most active semesters that i have had yet in school. I have been in school for 3 years i already have a degree and i haven't had this much work since i was going to high school working a job and on the basketball team all at the same time. On the other hand i did survive that so more then likely i will survive this but the way it's looking i am not going to survive the way that i would like to and that is with flying colors all A's and i will settle for a B.

Look at my life

My life is kind of crazy and at the same time it's normal. the only time it's crazy is mainly when i am walking by myself i don't know about anybody else but something weird is always happening around me. I think that i am truly blessed i wouldn't change anything that happened to me in the past or the present. i have been in a lot of twists ups and downs and my life is what i make it i was the one of the two people in my family to graduate from high school. i was the first to graduate from college now i am still in school going strong trying to get in the sports indusrty. it is a tuff business and very competitive but that is everything that i am. i love my life style and i love the person that i have become i am n ot conceded or anything what i am saying is i was raised good my parents are the greatest kind of people that you can meet. everybody has certain people in their family that they relate to the most in my family it is both my grandmother and my uncle i talk to my mother about a lot of things but i probably can talk to my uncle more because he can relate to me more then my mother can. My grandfather plays his role as well he is the one that keeps everybody going 64 years old and is still working like he is my age their are a lot of people that respect him for the person he is and his business mind. i think i got my business mind from him because just like my grandfather i am always thinkin g of a way to turn 1 dollar into 2 dollars 100 into 200 money is always on my mind and there is no feeling worse then walking around with no money in your pocket or in reach. my life is good i love my parents my friends and my girlfriend they all played a roll in making me the man that i am today a hopefully i be someone famous in the next couple of years.

something has got to change

I was back up with work this pass two weeks and with everything going on outside of school i still was able to keep up with the work,but something has got to change. The have been breaking my back trying to do my english work because we always have something due. With the regular homework he gives us and the writing assignments i tend to forget to write my blogs for the week i know i am behind i just don't know how far but something has got to change.this school year is going by so fast in about two weeks we are going to be having midterms and i didn't even have test in every class yet in fact i only had a test in one class something has got to change. On the other hand with all the hard work that i am doing for english i am actually learning something and as even though this semester is harder then last semester i think or at least i hope i am doing much better it just feels to me like i never have a break to do anything and the minute i feel i do something eles comes up. I don't know about you but someting has got to change and i hope it changes for the better and not the worse. I already knew that english was going to be one of my most challenging class i would have to take in college but the main one was math. I always had trouble with english don't get me wrong i do the work i be up to 4:00 in the morning doing it only because i am not good at writing, but something has got to change. I have a lot of people helping me out as well in some of these classess but sometimes i feel like i need something more then people helping me i wish they would just give me the answers,something has got to change. Although it is understandable why they don't just give me the answers because if they do then i won't be learning anything and it won't help me later in the future if i don't know how to do it. I have been going to every class do every assignment even extra credit ones and before this semester is over you better believe that something is going to change.

I try to live a stress free life

Most of my day consist of having fun getting my school work done metting new people and hanging out with my friends and girlfriend. there are many issues that go on throughout the day from start to finish but i don't even let it bother me a all I try to live a stress free life. I don't know about you but if i am stressed out i don't feel like doing anything and it also takes all the energy out of me. That's why i also try to encourage people not to be stressed because it is a scientific fact that it takes a certain toll on your body and it affects you in more then one way. I know so many people that get stressed over the smallest things and turn a good day into a bad one in a couple of secounds. there is a myth that to much stress can cause someone to get grey hair. That is not true although it can cause things that is worse such as being sick, having head pains, being anti-social and a lot of other reasons. I can't speak for everyone but i don't like being around people that are stressed and i know their are people that feel the same way i do. People that are stressed for what ever reasons they tend to bring you down also when their is someone like that they don't care about nothing at that specific time and that attitude some times may rub off on you. This is one of the main reasons why i try to live a stress free life because i feel that life in general is to short to be stressed about one thing. Everybody is different some people can't get over things as quick as other people but to be stressed for more then two days as bad for anybody. I know people that has been stress longer then that but eventually they got over it but to prevent certain heath issues and sickness it is better if you come out of being stress quicker. I know it is hard because it prevents them from doing anything they don't want to eat or go outside. Some people starv themselves because of being stressed from a certain situation. If you are stressedeven though you don't want to do something you must get up and try to do it because it can hurt you in the long run.

Look at my life

Lately my life has been on the move from work to class and do the same thing all over again. I do have some time to myself but with all the work that i be having you wouldn't even think so. In the last 5 or 6 days i probably had altogether 12 hours of sleep and that isn't good for anybody. I know some people that turn into completly different people when they don't get enough sleep. Some get stressed out very easy other tend to get attitudes with everybody for the littlest things I am just happy i am not one of those people. Today I was talking to my grandmother and she told me that she brought me a black leather jacket and that was one of the main parts of my day that made my life better. In my life right now i am also looking for a job today I handed in two applications one to the dollar tree and the other is two the sprint store. I am hoping that i hear from one of them at least by next week until then I will be looking for more jobs. This weekend will be another on campus party in corey union. This party is bringing the 80s back and i think this is going to be fun although i herd stories about the last party like where the place they had the party felt like you was in the middle of the forest fire .It was so hot that everybody was sweating so hard it looked like they just stepped out of the swimming pool. Even though i herd that was the only compaint about the party and everything else was good and people had a good time

My Day

My day was good today, every class was teaching something interesting and I think it was going my way. I was reminding myself about this blogger all day today and I was telling myself that I was going to do it as sooon as I had some time. I am kind of upset about that because when I did have time it slipped myh mined and I would start doing something eles. Even when I was doing the exercises for homework I still didn't remeber until now, and as you can see it's late. So I can say that I did have a good day because at this time it is a new day and by me being up doing this at this time that is just an early signe of what this day is going to look like. After having a good day it is hard to have another perfect day directly after that. I already know that this day is not going to be like yesterday, but i hope it would be close. I need to buy some items for my car do some more english homework as well as other different assignments for other classes. I also need to work out, and play some basketball for a little bit so I can stay in shape. We are in the third week of school already and the first two weeks went by so fast that if it keeps going at this rate the semester will be over in know time. So far the wheather has been pretty good. Nothing was to bad although it is suppose to rain for the next couple of days other then that the wheather was good this semester. My days are usually short and that is how I like it, but what I need to do is manage my time betterduring the day so that this will not happen again.

what am I going to do this weekend

This weekend i am going to go home again i have to handle some things i was am thinking hard about quitting my job. come to think of it i am not thinking that hard because i am going to do it it's just i don't know if i should do it on friday or monday. I know there is going to be a party this saturday in corey union where a couple of different people are coming up from different colleges to this latin fraternity party. It should be fun and the week after that is going to be the 80s party. I am going to pick up a few things this weekend as far as clothes and things but i was never the type to buy clothes for just one special event, although it should be fun. I am leaving school right after my 11:30 class and i am on my way it is a long ride back to the city so you know i got to get a head start on the traffic. That is why i am going to try and do all my homework between now and before i leave so i won't have to worry about it when i am in the city. the N.F.L season is also officailly on i was watching the game between the colts and New Orleans and Payton Manning is looking real good for the first game it is very hard to repeat a championship in the N.F.L especially when you lost three good players that you won it with. He should do good and i hope the Giants do good as well we have to represent for New York in so me way shape or form. to all the people that is reding this if i don't see have a good weekend and don't do nothing that i won't do God Bless

labor day weekend

This weeekend i went home i left school on friday afternoon and got to the city around 4:00 it was good for me because i needed to get some things. So i picked up some t-shirts, some sneakers, a hat and a few other things i also went to a fashion show in Brooklyn it was good and i seen some people that i didn't see in a long time. Also this weekend their was a lot of BBQ going on all over the place there was a lot of music and food where ever you went. It was the same way at school as well everybody was outside having fun, the wheather was nice the wind was blowing just right and it was a beautiful feeling, and it was a nice three day weekend. I didn't have to much homework so i mainly had the whole weekend to myself so all i did when i got back to school was finish up this english homework, read for a little bit,played some basketball, and also went to multi cultural BBQ that was sponsored by the school. I also went home to fill out some paper work for my new car that i got. Based on the way the semester is going i think it is going to be good for my grades and it's going to be fun. There are a lot of many different events coming up at school and as long as i stay up with my school work i should be able to go to all of those events with thinking about doing any school work. there was only one thing about this weekend that got me upset and that was when i came back to school i found out that my friend X box controller doesn't work after he let me hold it, and the funny thing is that i didn't even use it but i still have to pay for it. but at least the guy is my friend and i know him but that is still $ 30.00 dollars that i have to spend on getting him a new controller. Other then that it was a good weekend and i had a lot of fun every where i went.

Today i think it was better then yesterday except for it going by Mad slow it felt like i was in school 8 hours when i only had 3 classes and on top of that its suppose to rain and i can't stand it when it rain it feels like you can't do nothing. Me and my room mate just in the room acting like fools. This weekend their is a lot of people going home and i am one of them if i am not mistaken i think this weekend footlocker has 50% of for all employees so you already know what that means. but other then that nothing else is really going on but i know i have to respond to someones blog by friday so that means that joint has to be in by thursday because as soon as i get out of class i am on the road and out of cortland you FEEL ME lol. but so far this semester is looking like a good one people are playing around having fun and me and my crew be outside looking like the Black panters. I wasn't going to cortland for a long time in fact last semester was my first semester here but i am almost possitive there wasn't this much Black people in this school in a long time there are also a good number of latin americans tghe minorities are moving up and i am happy that i am here to see it happen. Anyway i don't know about you but i think i am about to stop typing because my fingers are starting to hurt and my back is kill me because i was lifting weights last night and i lift up 600lbs and now i am starting to feel it later
